Flat/Felt Roofing

JMS has developed tried and tested procedures for dealing with flat roofs in industry. With a professional application and the use of the highest quality materials JMS renews and repairs flat roofs leaving them maintenance free and 100% guaranteed.

For felt roofs JMS uses a roll and pour method with hot molten bitumen and high tensile felt systems finished with solar reflective finish. This method is far superior to other torch on methods and reduces fire risk. This method of built up felt roofing is very competitively priced in comparison to other methods and applications.

Asphalt surface are also candidates for this method once the surface is prepared and primed and provides longevity to even the most deteriorated of roofs.

Once assessed some roofs may be candidates for covering with a rubber system. Candidates for this application are best if there are few obstructions and extrusions and are particularly suited to newer or more sound structures where a single and complete system on an underlay could be applied. Our staff is trained in rubber roof application and when installed on suitable candidates they can offer extensive longevity, guaranteed for 25 years.

Steel Roofing

As can be seen from our photos JMS undergoes large-scale roof renewals and over cladding using profiled steel sheeting. We use a quality pastisol coated profiled sheet and flashing system designed and manufactured to suit each individual application.

In the commercial and industrial sectors many roofs are candidates for over cladding. Our over cladding method creates a new looking, substantial and guaranteed roof covering with little disturbance to the interior. It also provides an access safe roof and the option to increase insulation properties of the building and sound proofing. A range of insulation materials can be used depending on suitability and to obtain the desired u-value. Over cladding is particularly suitable for asbestoss roofs where there are problems with servicing and access to other plant machinery eg. extractors, ventilation systems and cable routing etc.

Heavier gauge steel valley section can be over lined or newly installed. Any glazed sections can be covered externally with polycarbonate in glazing bar section to create a modern appearance as well as increasing safety, insulation and reducing wind chill factors.

Over cladding with corrugated steel is particularly suitable for the long term renewal of garage roofs and is a viable option compared to re-felting. The photos (before and after) depict one of hundreds of garage sites JMS have restored and renewed.

We have experience of repairs and renewal of all types of rainwater goods such as industrial sized pvc systems, cast iron, zinc etc. We also cater for the renewal or over cladding of soffit and facia as well as undergoing maintenance and cleaning.

Commercial Roofing Maintenance & Repair

JMS provides a valuable maintenance and repair service to the commercial and industrial sector. We currently carry out many scheduled maintenance programs concerning high-level areas such as gutter and rainwater system cleaning, exhaust and pollution monitoring and general roof repairs and inspection. We realise the importance of such inspections for the prevention of water ingress especially to particularly sensitive areas and are happy to take on programmed roof cleaning and inspections.

Cladding

Not only do we clad roof structures, we also specialise in vertical cladding installation which with our custom made materials in desired colour and profile can give your building an impressive facelift offering modernity longevity and the option for insulation. Fabrication

JMS offer the complete design and installation service of purpose built structures to house equipment or any other use. Previously our steel fabricated buildings have been specially designed to house transformer units, tank storage areas, mess rooms, sensitive equipment and sub stations.

Our tradesmen include trained welders and metals workers, fabricators as well as structural and design specialists to create a building fit for purpose with high quality finish and keenly priced.

As well as buildings we also fabricate roof structures to create complete roofs or canopies to keep dry sensitive areas and equipment.

Hand Railing and Safety

MS has developed expertise in the installation of hand/safety rail anchor and harness points and other fall arrest equipment. We supply and install only the best quality equipment, designed for each particular roof area. Safe access is of vital importance in our work, other tradesmen also need access to roof areas. Each roof is individual and sometimes not suitable for a conventional handrail. No matter where access is needed we have the solution to make it safe.

External Fireproofing

Our multitude of skills and experience has led us to become proficient in the installation of fire barriers and fire proof protection. From the photos you can see one of the many external transformer units where we have installed our custom design fire protection for the desired fire containment. We also install external fire barriers to protect areas of air intake such as louvre windows, smoke vents etc. If you have an area of high fire risk JMS can offer an affordable solution to protect you, your employees and your property in the event of fire or explosion. Our methods are accepted by major insurers and relevant British standards.

Our high-level training and health and safety proficiency, together with our competency in the use of mechanical access equipment has led to our services being utilised for high level cleaning and maintenance tasks.
